Arten Festival
The Arten Festival at Hof Narr brings humans and other animal species together in a place of peaceful coexistence for a unique artistict experience: literature in the pigsty, music in the paddock, dancing with the sheep and theatrical monologues on the dung heap.
During the interspecies and interdisciplinary festival weekend on July 6 and 7, 2024, art did take place in various places on the farm - with, for or next to the animals present, between the fruit trees on the orchard or in the permaculture vegetable garden.
The public was invited to come to the farm for one or two days, to experience the animals and works of art, spend time and reflect together on what it means to be a human*animal and what a sustainable future could look like, from agriculture to cultural work.
The Arten Festival, curated by Daniel Hellmann and Lisa Letnansky, was intended to be a special weekend where playful creativity, emotions, humor and beauty can be used to experience that a future of respectful coexistence and togetherness is possible.
